Mir Arda, the Jewel of the Earth, is the last vestage of the sprawling Elven Empires that covered the continent in eons past. Situated far to the East of the country of Coervinia and its thriving trade city Ambion, Mir Adar is the last independant elven kingdom on the continent. The country has long been inaccessable by most humans, due largely to its location. the kingdom is a Shngri La, a paradise surrounded on all sides by jagged and nearly impregnable mountains. The kingdom has long ben a pieceful and serene place, with Druid tended woods seamlessly blending into the gardens surrounding the beutiful elven citys buit of glistening white and grey granite. In the largest of the country's cities, Eö Tur-anion, stood Tal Anom, the city tree. The tree was the greatest tree ever to grow on earth, it was magically tended for a century of centuries. It was the home of the chorous of nine, the ruling body of Mir Arda, composed of three priests of each of the three major elven religions.
One of the most powerful organizations in the kingdom was the Fochlican Lyrist College. The college is the pinacle of Elven society, it was founded to teach and promote the pillars of elven power: druidic magic, arcane magic, and statesmanship. The college was allegedly founded 870 BCO, roughly 2160 years ago by Liansgiathatch. Lian was a beautiful and talented bard who, legend has it, was favored above all other elves by the Elven gods. The Three placed a crown of holly upon her head, signifying their everlasting love for her, and invested her with the gift of immortality. In the year 68 BCO Lian left the college she had founded to explore the earth. No living elf has heard from her since, but is rumored she still walks in the wild places of the earth as an unaging beauty.
Nearly 10 years ago the troubles began for the Lyrists. Members began dissapearing, never to be heard from again. after 8 years of these disapearances the once powerful college was in dissaray, it was at this time that the Queen of Ash chose to strike. Her attack came as quickly and unexpectedly as a squall upon the ocean. She attacked the great City Tree first, devouring the chorus and killing the tree with her flames. She roosts there now, coming down from her lofty palace only to cause chaos and destruction. Her favoite passtime is to set the Elven woods ablaze, and kill all those that come to fight the inferno. She then sups upon the ash and carnage. The remaining lyrists fight the Queen by regrowing burnt forest land, and seeking out and destroying her minions and elven collaborators. They have little power to confront her directly, and it is only a matter of time before the queen finds and destroys the college.

Adventurers Fall, and We Begin Again
I have taken my place in the hall of D&D history... I commited the double TPK. I always thought that such a feat was reserved for the likes of Bill Byrnes et al.
With the fall of a second party, the fate of the game stands on a razors edge. It would be easy to give up, and quit the campaign. Instead, we're gonna start over again. This time we're gonna remove the new party a little from the old story line. The game will begin nearly a year after the deaths of Henry, Everett, and Simon in Drake Wood. We will begin the game on the 20th day of the month of the Dove, in the year 1289. It is the Vernal equinox, a day of new beginnings in the Elven calendar...
Two Elven adventurers are prepairing to resume their quest to liberate their once verdant land from the mad tyranny of Malenthraxisis, The Queen of Ash. The Queen is a ravenous red dragon, who seems intent on turning her captured country into ash covered wasteland...
